Eden Samara grew up in the mountains of western Canada writing folk songs, performing in choirs, and
discovering underground rave culture.
Inspired by an introduction to European clubs in 2016, Eden left behind her former life as a theatre actor to explore her love of dance music.
Breaking through with vocal appearances on Loraine James’ critically acclaimed album ‘Reflection’ and Parris’ single ‘Skaters World’, Eden earned praise from the Guardian, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Crack, DJ Magazine and more.
Eden’s debut album ‘Rough Night’, released in 2022 on London label Local Action, further established her as a name to watch in contemporary club music. Fleshed out with co-production from some of the most exciting producers in dance music including Shanti Celeste, Call Super, Loraine James, and TSVI, Rough Night is a confessional work ranging from introspective R&B to freaky club-pop. The record was named ‘an embarrassment of riches’ by Dazed, as well as one of Mixmag’s best albums of the year, leading Eden to play international bookings in the UK and EU.
2023 saw Eden contribute to new albums from Call Super (Eulo Cramps) and Loraine James (Gentle Confrontation), both heralded by the international music press as best electronic music of the year.
With her next body of work in progress, Eden will head deeper into experimental club pop territory.
